Cassandra graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2016 with an Honours degree in Psychology. She has been a member of the Observations and Research in Gender and Sexuality Matters Lab in the Department of Psychology at Kwantlen since 2012. Recently, her co-authored paper on exotic dance was accepted for publication in the journal Sexuality and Culture. Her current area of focus is the effects of pornography on adolescents, and her hope is to develop a better understanding of the implications sexually explicit material is playing on young peoples sexual development. Apart from her research, she is a graduate student at UBC, works full time in the aerospace industry, and enjoys spending her free time playing sports, hiking or hitting the gym. Her dream is to be an advocate for the sexual health and well-being of others, and to inspire the uninspired.
